COMRADE GBENGA OLOWOYO EMERGES ACTING GENERAL SECRETARY OF NIGERIA CIVIL SERVICE UNION
A veteran journalist and industrialist, Comrade Gbenga Olowoyo fcia fimpa JP has been appointed as the Acting General Secretary of the Nigeria Civil Service Union (NCSU).
Glory be to God almighty for his mercy and benevolence all the time to all of us and our households.
This appointment was approved at the 79th National Executive Council (NEC) meeting which took place on Tuesday 25th June, 2024, at the Conference Hall, Green Minds Hotel, Utako, Abuja, Federal Capital Territory.
A statement made public by the Union states that Comrade Olowoyo emerged as a result of his administrative dexterity to move the union forward.
“I wish to formally inform the house of progressive minded people and lovable personalities that Comrade Olowoyo Gbenga fcia fimpa JP has been appointed the acting; General Secretary of the Nigeria Civil Service Union”.
“I want to appreciate God almighty , the alpha and omega, who is the architect of our destiny, the esteem NAC and NEC members for making this a reality, with strong faith that our God will continue to protect and abide with all of us as we all progress in our different chosen careers and endeavours.”
Responding to the development, the new acting General Secretary solicited the prayers, support, encouragement and guidance of all stakeholders his new assignment.
He also promised to live up to expectations of both the leadership and members of the union.
Comrade Gbenga Olowoyo attended the famous Christ School Ado Ekiti, a Graduate of Ondo State university Ado Ekiti (now EKSU) where he bagged Bachelor Degree in English language and Education, Master Degree in industrial and Labour relations (MILR)( UNAD) and Post Graduate Diploma in journalism from international institute of journalism, Abuja.
Comrade Gbenga Olowoyo is a Fellow, Corporate institute of Administration ( FCIA) and Fellow institute of management and public Administration (FIMPA) among other professional bodies
He has attended many local and international industrial and Labour relations conferences and workshops, Public Administration and Management conferences .
He is happily married to Mrs Olowoyo Temitope with children
