
EXCITEMENT AS OLORI ADEJUMOKE ADELEYE BECOMES MATRON OF IYANIWURA SOCIETY
It was a mood of excitement as Iyaniwura society made the wife of Olubaka of Oka Akoko Kingdom, Olori Adejumoke Adeleye their Matron.
The investiture ceremony took place at the palace Olubaka of Oka Akoko Kingdom on Wednesday, 5th March, 2025 in presence of the traditional chiefs of the town with an opening prayer by Olori Ali Olowosile
She was decorated as the MATRON of IYANIWURA SOCIETY EKITI STATE, NIGERIAby the Chief Mrs Foluso Awojolu and Chief Mrs Grace Okunbolade the special Adviser 1 and 2 of the association
In her acceptance speech, Olori Adejumoke expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the recognition and great honour done her describing it as an inspiration for her to do more towards betterment of the women folk in the society.
Olori Adejumoke stated further that she accepted the matronship of the association having realized that the society comprises of people of worthy character who are passionate about the good welfare of the women folk.
She promised not to betray the trust reposed in her by living up to expectation with the task assigned her.
The Olubaka of Oka Akoko Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Yusuf Adeleye expressed his delight over the investiture of his wife as the Matron of Iyaniwura Society.
Oba Adeleye stated that she allowed his wife to accept the Matronship of the association because he saw the society as a genuine one that cares for women in the society.
Earlier, the President of Iyaniwura society, Rev. Mother Bosede Omotoye described the investiture of Olori Adejumoke as historic in the life of the association that can not be forgotten.
She appreciated the founder of Iyaniwura Society, Chief Olufemi Aduloju OJA1 for giving them the platform to showcase their talent.
Mrs Omotoye stated further that the nomination of Olori Adejumoke was generally accepted by every member of the association. She added that the association found Olori Adejumoke as worthy to be bestowed with such an honour and urged her not to relent in her efforts towards the betterment of women in the society.
In the same vein, the founder of the association, Chief Olufemi Aduloju OJA1 appreciated the traditional ruler for allowing his wife to accept the matronship of the association. He highlighted the aims and objectives of the society which includes to empowering women, to imbibe the true culture in our women of 21 Century and encourage women to involve in Politics
He added that all women of Iyaniwura are women of integrity who has respect for their homes.
