GLITZ, GLAMOUR AS LIGHT IN DARKNESS MINISTRY AKURE CELEBRATES 12TH ANNIVERSARY

Members of The Light in Darkness Ministry at Shagari Village in Akure the Ondo state capital have rolled out the drums to celebrate the twelve years of existence of the church.
The leadership of the five assemblies of the church joined their counterparts at the church headquarters adjacent the old Orange FM station to appreciate God for the privilege to have achieved much in propagating the gospel.
The event featured various choir ministrations which signified a high degree of growth being witnessed in the church.
It was also an opportunity for the leadership of the church to showcase the products of the various skill acquisition programmes by the youths.
In her remarks, Mummy Shepherd, Revd(Mrs) Adeola Fagboyegun reflected on the various divine interventions by the Most High that have continued to influence salvation of souls.
Revd (Mrs) Fagboyegun also made reference to “The Living Water Upon the Altar” simply translated to ‘Omi Ori Pepe’ which has performed a number of miracles.
In his sermon, the Shepherd-in-charge, Revd. Ajibola Fagboyegun based his message on The Resultant of a Life Transformed by His Power called on Christians to ensure that Christ lives in them.
Revd. Fagboyegun emphasised that Jesus Christ is a typical example of what he wants humans to be, stressing the need for all to be born again.
The Shepherd-in-charge acknowledged God for sustaining the ministry all through its 12 years of existence.
In his words, Dr. Olayide Adelami, deputy governor of Ondo state congratulated the shepherd-in-charge and the entire faithful of the Light in Darkness Ministry on the 12th anniversary celebrations.
The deputy governor saluted the tenacity of the team and equally celebrated them on the many wins they have recorded over the years.
He said, “It is not easy to run the affairs of a church for over a decade. I want to appreciate God in the lives of the Shepherd-in-charge, his family and the entire faithful of the Light in Darkness ministry. Truly, I can see that the Lord has been faithful to you”
Citing the book of Ephesians 4:16, Adelami observed how the different departments in the church are being well coordinated to achieve optimal result.
He thanked the church for their collaboration with the state government in terms of prayers and other support in maintaining law and order in the state.
The event also attracted the Olori Olowa of Igbara-Oke, Oloba of Uso and other prominent individuals across the state.
