‘THE NIGERIAN PROJECT’ NATIONAL CONVENER, UFOMBA CHARGES MEMBERS ON TEAMWORK, COLLECTIVE DETERMINATION
The National Convener of The Nigerian Project, Ochiagha Reagan Ufomba has emphasised the place of teamwork, unity and collective determination in the process of achieving the aims and objectives of the project.
Ufomba who spoke in his New Year message to members and leadership of the project in the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory stressed that the achievements recorded in the outgoing year was made possible due to commitment displayed by members.
He however warned that membership of those sitting on the fence would have to be reviewed in the new year, noting that the project has a great task to accomplish in the year 2025
In his words, “nothing better captures our project and the essence of our togetherness than this timeless saying by Chinua Achebe”.
“A man who calls his kinsmen to a feast does not do so to save them from starving. They all have food in their own homes. When kinsmen gather in the moonlight at the village ground, it is not because of the moon. Every man can see the moon from his own compound. We come together because it is good for kinsmen to do so.”
“In 2024, we exemplified this spirit of unity and teamwork. From strategic initiatives to grassroots engagements, every milestone we reached was a testimony of our collective determination and shared purpose”.
“As we step into 2025, we shall review cases of docile membership as we continue with the moonlight team spirit: those who neither share in our joys nor our sorrows, those who neither initiate posts nor comment on posts of others, and those whose ego and interest run fowl of our collective dream and vision. We shall continue to draw strength from our unity and beliefs, our philosophy and willingness to face the future with renewed vigour, hope and tenacity of purpose”.
