Christmas and End-of-Year Message to Members of The Nigerian Project (TNP)
Distinguished Members and Compatriots of The Nigerian Project,
As we come to the close of 2024, it is a moment of great pride and gratitude to reflect on the incredible journey we have embarked upon together. This year, The Nigerian Project (TNP) under my stewardship has made significant strides in reviving the values, doctrine and ethos of our transformational leader, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (GCFR) and in laying the foundation for a movement that is not just about the imbibing of IBBnomics philosophy, but also about the rebirth of hope and the restoration of the Nigerian dream.
2. Our mobilization efforts across the nation have yielded remarkable results with the establishment of vibrant structures in the 36 states of the federation and the FCT, the 774 local government areas, most political wards and polling units, several chapters, and most importantly, the growing alignment of like-minded individuals, groups, and associations with our cause within only four months. The TNP vision has resonated with Nigerians from all walks of life, affirming that our call for a nation free from nepotism, insecurity, hunger, poverty, corruption, and bad governance is both timely, urgent and possible.
3. Through your tireless efforts, we have deepened our grassroots engagement, empowered communities with ideas and hope, and inspired countless Nigerians to believe in the possibility of real change. While there is still a long way to go, the progress we have made this year demonstrates the power of unity, resilience, equal founder, equal joiner status, anchored on shared vision.
4. Indeed, ‘A new Nigeria is possible’ with TNP!
5. As we celebrate this festive season, I am delighted to share some updates and plans as we prepare for an even more impactful 2025:
6. First, I want to thank each of you for your commitment, passion, and belief in TNP. Your contributions, whether through leadership, mobilization, or advocacy, have been the lifeblood of our movement. Together, we have built a solid foundation for the transformative journey ahead.
7. Members whose utterances and inactions are inimical to this journey are advised to ship-in.
8. In 2025, TNP will begin its next phase of aggressive growth with the unveiling of the full list of National Officers and Board in the first quarter. These leaders will be tasked with driving our mission forward and ensuring that TNP remains a beacon of hope for Nigerians.
9. Recognising the need for synergy, TNP will engage in strategic discussions and negotiations with associations and groups that share our values and objectives. Our goal is to build a coalition strong enough to effect meaningful socio-economic and political reforms, culminating in a mega rollout and launch in the second quater of 2025. In this regard, TNP is expected to transform to a political party, go into alliance with an existing party, be part of a coalition with political parties, or retain it’s distinct identity. But most importantly, we shall decide whether to continue to suffer, and in some cases die in a land of plenty. The ultimate decision shall be a collective one after due consultations.
10. The importance of grassroots mobilization cannot be overstated. I urge all members, especially state and chapter coordinators, to intensify efforts to reach every corner of the nation and the diaspora. This is the time to bring more Nigerians into the fold, inspiring them to join us in creating a brighter future. Those lacking in this wise may have their positions reviewed.
11. In preparation for the challenges and opportunities of 2025, TNP will invest in capacity building programs for its members. These initiatives will equip us with the skills and knowledge to navigate Nigeria’s socio-political and economic landscape effectively. For us to make a difference, we must be different in all dimensions. We shall engage in debates and healthy national discourse that enriches our objectives and manifesto. We shall increase visibility in mainstream media across the globe.
12. As we celebrate Christmas and the New Year, let us take a moment to reflect on the progress we’ve made and renew our commitment to the ideals of TNP. Let us also extend love, kindness, and support to those around us, embodying the values that define our movement. I was inspired to write about the Noah’s Ark and what it portends to our movement. Do not be deterred as we build this political ark in the proverbial desert. We pledge never to sleep or slumber as God makes the way and provides the waters upon which we shall sail. Similarly, may He bless our seed as we sow on both rock, thorns and on fertile soil, going forward.
13. Our achievements of 2024 are only the beginning of what we can accomplish together. Take this from me: with your continued support and dedication, 2025 promises to be a transformative year for TNP. Let us march forward with hope, courage and determination, knowing that the dream of a better society lies in, and within our hands.
14. May this season bring joy, peace, and fulfillment to you and your loved ones. And may the labours of our heroes, past and present, and our collective efforts, never be in vain…
15. Thank you for being a vital part of The Nigerian Project.
16. Together, we can, and will make a difference.
17. Merry Christmas!
Chief Reagan Ufomba
