THRILLS AND GLAMOUR AS ‘AMEME SUPER’ ORGANISED SURPRISE BIRTHDAY BASH FOR WIFE, DUPE AKINOLA’S GOLDEN JUBILEE ANNIVERSARY
…The event had in attendance her family members, old friends and school mates, associates as well as friends of family
…It also featured viewing of an audiovisual documentary on celebrant’s family background, childhood memories and current accomplishments
The OPIC Estate residence of the Akinolas started the October 1st date like every other day with the usual serenity that accompanies a public holiday, being Nigeria’s independence anniversary.
It’s also the birthday of Mrs. Modupe Akinola, the wife of the Managing Director of Atlantic Biscoe Autos in Lagos and overseas.
The first signal of what the day would look like was when a surprise team arrived with drums and tunes from trumpets to wake up the birthday ‘girl’ who is 50 years old.
Just after that was another set of trucks arriving with one consignment or the other as canopies were being erected and the decorators turning the entire compound to an event location.
One interesting aspect was that the celebrant never knew the plans and didn’t know such a big event was loading.
Guests began to arrive in batches as they say comfortably in the green area of the compound with a standby Disc Jockey and another life band, Wumi Sax ditching out quality music.
The gathering had in attendance friends and family members from various parts of the country as well as abroad just as there was much to eat and drink.
For those who adventurous with edibles, there was roasted crocodile and giant snake, depending on what you want.
The was availability of drinks of various categories and the event was described by many as a classic one to honour Mrs. Dupe Akinola on her golden jubilee anniversary.
The head of the Akinola Dynasty Of Ado-Ekiti, Mr. Bisi Akinola popularly known as ‘Bisime’ was on hand to lead the family members.
He described the celebrant as a loyal wife and mother to her children and prayed that she celebrates more and more years in good health.
For the spouse of the celebrant, Banji Akinola popularly known as ‘Ameme Super’, it was a day he had been preparing for to appreciate a woman who had stood by him over the years.
In her words, the golden girl, Mrs. Modupe Akinola was short of words as she appreciated all those who came from far and near to honour her on her special day.
There was also after party show where the youths and interested elders had fun time with the DJ ditching out quality music for the gathering.
