10 POLITICAL PARTIES TO PARTICIPATE IN ONDO LG ELECTION
Ondo state independent Electoral Commission has released the names of the political Parties that will be contesting in Local Government Election Coming up 18th January 2025.
This information was disclosed by the Commissioner in charge of Communication, Media and Information Technology,Mr Tunde Adeleye.
Adeleye in his statement noted ithat “at the end of the screening exercise that took place at the ODIEC HQ on Friday 27th, 2025, 10 political parties were cleared to take part in the election for the Chairmanship position in the 18 Local Government Areas and councillorship position in the 203 wards of the state.
The 10 political parties are: All Progressive Congress ( APC), Labour Party (LP), Zenith Labour Party ( ZLP), People’s Democratic Party (PDP), New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Social Democratic Party (SDP), Action People’s Party (APP), The Young Progressive Party(YPP), All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) and Action Democratic Party(ADP).
According to ODIEC guidelines, campaigns by political parties commenced of 26th December 2024 to January 16th 2025.
