ONDO LG POLL: 13 POLITICAL PARTIES TO PARTICIPATE IN EXERCISE
Ondo state independent Electoral Commission has released the names of the political Parties that will be participating in the Local Government Election Coming up 18th January 2025.
This information was disclosed by the Commissioner in charge of Communication, Media and Information Technology,Mr Tunde Adeleye.
Adeleye in his statement noted that “at the end of the screening exercise that took place at the ODIEC Headquarters on Friday 27th, 2025, 13 political parties were cleared to take part in the election for the Chairmanship position in the 18 Local Government Areas and councillorship position in the 203 wards of the state.
According to the Media Officer in the commission, Bisi Lawani, the list of screened and cleared political parties was released by ODIEC on January 1st, 2025
The Political parties are:
1.Action Democratic party (ADP).
2.Action people’s party (APP).
3.All progressive Congress (APC)
4.All progresive Grand Alliance (APGA).
5.Boot party (BP).
6.Labour party (LP).
7.New Nigeria People Party (NNPP).
8.Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
9.Social Denocratic Party (SDP).
10.Young Progressive Party (YPP)
11.Zenith Labour party (ZLP)
12. Action Alliance (AA)
13. National Rescue Movement (NRM)
According to ODIEC guidelines, campaigns by political parties commenced of 26th December 2024 and end to January 16th 2025.
