2026 Poll: Kolawole Drums Support for Oyebanji, Tinubu, Pledges Unwavering Representation
A member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Akinlayo Davidson Kolawole, who represents the good people of Moba, Ido-Osi and Ilejemeje Local Government Areas, has urged the Ekiti electorate to rally behind Biodun Oyebanji and Bola Ahmed Tinubu in their respective second term bids.
Kolawole said Governor Oyebanji’s performance has justified the confidence reposed in him by the people, citing notable achievements in infrastructure renewal, rural road construction, prompt payment of salaries and pensions, youth empowerment schemes, agricultural support programmes, and expanded social intervention initiatives.
According to him, the governor’s inclusive governance style and strong collaboration with community leaders have ensured balanced development across Ekiti State.
In a statement signed and made available to journalists, the lawmaker maintained that continuity in Ekiti would consolidate ongoing projects, attract more federal presence, and deepen reforms already delivering visible impact.
He described Oyebanji’s second term bid as one rooted in proven performance and people-focused leadership.
Speaking on the need to also support President Tinubu, Kolawole highlighted key milestones recorded under the current administration at the federal level.
He noted that the president’s bold economic reforms, including the removal of fuel subsidy and the unification of the foreign exchange system, were designed to stabilize the economy and reposition Nigeria for sustainable growth.
He further pointed to increased federal allocations to states following fiscal reforms, renewed emphasis on infrastructure development nationwide, expansion of social investment programmes, the student loan initiative to improve access to tertiary education, and sustained efforts to strengthen national security.
According to him, these measures are gradually laying the foundation for long-term economic stability and prosperity.
Kolawole also assured the good people of Moba, Ido-Osi and Ilejemeje that he will never turn a blind eye to their needs and aspirations.
He reaffirmed his commitment to effective representation, responsive leadership, and sustained engagement with his constituents, promising to continue attracting meaningful projects and opportunities that will improve their standard of living.
He therefore called on residents of his constituency and the entire Ekiti electorate to turn out massively during the elections to reaffirm their mandate for both Oyebanji and Tinubu, emphasizing that continuity at both the state and federal levels remains crucial to accelerated development and sustained progress.
