
25-YEAR-OLD PRINCESS ADEYEMI FAITH AJIMO EMERGES REGENT OF AKUNGBA-AKOKO
A Regent has been appointed for Akungba-Akoko in Akoko South West Local Government Area of Ondo State.
She is Princess Adeyemi Faith Ajimo of Ole Ruling House.
The appointment follows the demise of the Alale of Akungba-Akoko, Oba Isaac Sunday Adeyeye Ajimo III, which sadly occurred on 03 March 2025.
The announcement was made in a letter to the Chairman of Akoko South West Local Government Area notifying relevant stakeholders and signed by the Alale Council of Chiefs.
They are High Chief Alakun of Igbelu Quarters, High Chief Olubaka of Ibaka Quarterr, High Chief Olukusa of Okusa Quarters, High Chief Asalu of Akua Quarters and High Chief Alagure of Ilale Quarters.
The development followed the unanimous decision of the Ole Ruling House at a meeting presided over by the Head of the ruling house and attended by fifteen Princes.

The Alale Council of Chiefs therefore unanimously requested that the first daughter of the immediate past Oba, a 25-year-old and a university graduate to sit as regent on the throne pending whenever a substantive Oba is chosen and installed by the Government.
While urging the council boss to communicate this desire of Akungba-Akoko people to the relevant stakeholders in Akoko South West and Ondo State Chieftaincy Affairs Matters, they also solicited full government recognition, acceptance, and support for the newly appointed Regent, Princess Adeyemi Faith Ajimo.
