60TH BIRTHDAY: NASRDA SPOKESMAN, FELIX ALE CONGRATULATES AIYEDATIWA, URGES GOVERNOR TO BE WARY OF SYCOPHANTS
The Director of Media and Corporate Communications at the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), Dr. Felix Ale has congratulated the Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on the occasion of his 60th birthday and urged him to be wary of sycophants.
Dr Ale observed that some congratulatory messages pouring by some individuals in the previous 48hours were not genuine as some of them did not believe in the Governor when the going was rough and tough.
In his words, “I was going through the numerous congratulatory messages on various platforms and I became emotional and almost burst into tears as I smelt a high degree of sycophancy on the part of some people who were vehemently against the will of God in the life of Honourable Lucky Aiyedatiwa, regarding his ordained position as a political leader in the state”.
“These are people who were pronouncing impeachment and making themselves clogs in the wheel of progress at a critical moment they thought the then Deputy Governor couldn’t sail through the dramatic stage of his ordained romance with destiny”.
“I am surprised that same set of people are out with different sycophantic messages and moves which are primarily or mischievously meant to sustain their relevance for self aggrandizement in his administration”.
“Even though I work comfortably as a Federal Director, Media Scholar and Corporate Communicator, I have not danced away from my journalistic orientation of being part of the fourth estate of the realm to observe what goes on around me and human society in general “.
“What’s most painful to me is the sudden demise of a very distinguished man who stood out as one of the most reliable persons who believes so much in Honourable Lucky Aiyedatiwa and also pulled many strings to ensure that he survived one of the toughest political struggles of his life.
This is in person of Hon. Temitayo Olawatuyi popularly known as Tuykana whose sudden death was sadly confirmed last week”.I wish Tuykana is alive to roll out his congratulatory message in honor of the Governor in a special moment like this. He was indeed a great man I admired so much for the unique roles he played among the likes of Dr Olusegun Ategbole, the Bobagunwa of Okaland, Rt Honourable Victor Olabimtan and few others in the actualisation of what is today known as Aiyedatiwa led administration.
I was privileged to be with a high ranking Nigerian Politician in Abuja during a telephone conversation with the late Temitayo Oluwatuyi on the then conflicting situation and reports in Ondo State and I could recall vividly positive submissions and comments of the late SSG about Governor Aiyedatiwa. An opinion that triggered the highly revered personality to swing into action with necessary personal and telephone contacts to ensure that Ondo State wasn’t plunged into political crisis as a result of the demonic desperate moves by some individuals during that time”.
Dr Ale explained that it’s very sad and painful that the late Temitayo Oluwatuyi who did his very best during this critical moment is no more, describing him as not just an ardent supporter of the Governor but indeed one of the sincere and committed beings that God used to weather the storm of the then turbulent moment in the political history of Ondo State.
The Media Icon urged Governor Aiyedatiwa not to be carried away with what he regarded as fake hands of fellowships from mischievous characters who will go to any level to get his attention with phrases, adjectives and vocabularies in the name of congratulatory messages particularly in moments like this.
He appealed to the Governor to see the grace upon his life and elevation to his current esteemed position as an act of God while his success in the last gubernatorial election should also be seen as a fulfillment of destiny and social contract theory with the great people of the Sunshine State.
Dr Ale pleaded with the Governor to do the best he can to accord the late Secretary to the State Government a befitting burial, saying Temitayo Oluwatuyi was a man of integrity, consistent politician and one of the greatest supporters and admirers of the Governor.
He also emphasized the need for Governor Aiyedatiwa to bring on board men and women of integrity with great vision who believe in his aspirations and capability to assist in writing his name in gold through effective and people oriented policies as well as execution of projects in all sectors that would have meaningful and direct impacts on the lives of the great people of Ondo State.
The Oka-Akoko-born Communication Scholar prayed for Governor Aiyedatiwa to celebrate many more years in good health and also witness more recognitions and ground breaking achievements in the cause of his political sojourn and future endeavors.
