ONDO: PARTY LEADERS REJECT PURPORTED SUSPENSION OF STATE CHAIRMAN, ADETIMEHIN
Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Idanre Local Government Area of Ondo State have dismissed the purported suspension of the State party Chairman, Ade Adetimehin.
This was contained in a statement signed and made available to newsmen on Saturday where they described the move as a baseless fabrication orchestrated by impostors.
The leaders labeled the alleged suspension as the handiwork of a few individuals who they said are bent on destabilising the party.
They further accused the individuals of forging signatures in a bid to lend credibility to their false claims.
They insisted that the purported suspension letter is a desperate attempt by mischief makers to create division and instability within the party.
The so-called signatories are not recognized by the APC, and their actions lack any legitimacy.
The leaders reaffirmed their support for Engineer Adetimehin, emphasising his steadfast leadership and dedication to the party’s progress.
“We want to categorically state that Engineer Ade Adetimehin remains the legitimate and duly elected Chairman of the Ondo State APC. His leadership has been characterized by commitment, loyalty, and a steadfast dedication to the progress of our great party. This baseless and malicious attempt to remove him from office is a sad reflection of the antics of a few individuals who are bent on sowing discord for personal gain”, the statement read in part.
They called on Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to urgently intervene and hold accountable those behind what they called a divisive move.
The leaders added that the peace and unity of the APC in Ondo State cannot be compromised by the selfish ambitions of a few.
They pledged their loyalty to Adetimehin and promised to resist attempts to derail the party’s progress in the State.
