
72ND BIRTHDAY: CHRIST’S SCHOOL 83-88 SET GIRLS’ GROUP PAYS SURPRISE BIRTHDAY VISIT TO FORMER TEACHER, FOLUKE ALADE AT 72

Members of the 83/88 Set of Christ’s School, Ado-Ekiti Alumni Association have made a surprise birthday visit to their former teacher, Mrs Folake Alade on the occasion of her 72nd birthday.
The birthday visit which held at the premises of the First Baptist Church, Okeyinmi, popularly known as ‘Dake Ariwo’ area of the Ekiti State capital had in attendance representatives of the set as well as family members of the celebrator.
It was a great surprise for a woman who taught a group of girls about 40 years ago to receive gifts from people who many of them have become grandmothers.
The old girls’ message were presented by Olori Alarierin of Ado-Ekiti, Chief(Mrs) Bisi Obayemi on behalf of over 40 old students.
Others in attendance were Bolade Kilani, Taibat Olayinka, Ranti Omopariola, and Damola Adeyemi who represented the old boys as well as Sade Olaleye who is also another old girl.
The old students both home and abroad presented cash gift, congratulatory message letter containing names of all old girls and other gift items.
Addressing the gathering, Pastor and Mrs Ayinde expressed happiness that a group of girls who were taught over 40 years ago could reflect on the knowledge imparted on them and give back.
They commended the 83-88 Set girls for making Mrs Foluke Alade happy on her special day.
In her response, the visibly elated and emotional celebrant said it was actually a great surprise to be honoured by many people she hadn’t set eyes on for 4 decades.
She prayed for all the old girls who are now well grown and contributing to societal development both home and abroad to witness more growth in all their undertakings.
