Members of a socio-political group in Ekiti State, Ekiti Youth Vanguard have called on leaders of and friends of the All Progressives Congress in the state to emulate a business mogul and chieftain of the party, Mr. Dele Phillips for his roles in ensuring the victory of the flag bearer of the party, Biodun Oyebanji in the June governorship election.
The members who spoke one after the other at their monthly meeting in Ado-Ekiti said Mr. Phillips has continued to demonstrate a high degree of both financial and moral support to the processes and structures being put in place to ensure the party coast home to victory.
Naijaparrots Reporter, Demola Kunlere who witnessed the proceedings held at the GRA in the state capital said members of the Vanguard described various efforts initiated by the international business mogul have been a great stimuli that have continued to attract more supporters, even from other opposition parties.
The leaderof the team, Hon. Adebayo Fatukasi made reference to the donation of vehicles to the campaign strategies of the candidate who succeeded in justifying the confidence reposed in him as Chief of Staff to former Governor Niyi Adebayo and Secretary to State Government during the second coming of Governor John Kayode Fayemi.
Fatukasi emphasized that Mr. Phillips’ contributions are not limited to provision of automobiles as many wards and units are being mobilised for the purpose of sensitising and educating the electorate on the implications of continuity in the interest of the land and the people.
The secretary of the group, Mrs. Bimbola Oguntuase stressed that women have been prioritized in the unfolding plans the team had for a robust and issue-based campaign in the process of achieving the emergence of the leading candidate, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji popularly known as BAO.
He therefore tasked other notable members of the party in the state to display full loyalty that would keep attracting more supporters as well as impactful Contributions to the success of the All Progressives Congress both in the June governorship election as well as future polls, especially National Assembly and House of Assembly elections.
Mrs. Oguntuase advised the people of Ekiti State to align with the focused leadership of the governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi who she said has shown that he has various consolidating programmes that would make him finish well as the real architect of modern Ekiti State.
