The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress Abdullahi Adamu has been accused of submitting a separate delegates list to the accreditation committee for the party’s presidential candidate.
According to sources, Adamu is bent on ensuring Senate President Ahmed Lawan emerges the presidential candidate of APC.
It was gathered that the list was allegedly different from the ones prepared for the purpose of the exercise.
It had earlier been reported that ADAMU informed the party’s National Working Committee members that president Buhari had approved Lawan as the party’s consensus presidential candidate.
The northern governors immediately rejected it, standing by their earlier decision to back a power shift to the South, while President Buhari alse refuted it.
In a statement by Garba Shehu, his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, President Buhari said he had not anointed any aspirant.
