The Chairman of BAO Campaign Committee in Ekiti West local government area, Mr. Dele Philips has again charged the people of Ekiti State to vote enmasse for the governoship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji in the forthcoming governorship election slated for June 18.
Dele Philips who was speaking with newsmen shortly after a rally in in Aramoko-Ekiti said the only qualified candidate to steer the ship of the state is Oyebanji who has garnered a high degree of experience in the governance of the state.
In his words, “For us as a people, we should tap into Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s wealth of experience as former Commissioner, Secretary to the State Government and Chief of Staff to Governor. He has been part of governance and has contributed meaningfully to the administrative structure of the state”.
The international business mogul emphasized that the emergence of Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji as the next Governor of Ekiti State has enormous implications on the political relevance of both individuals and leaders as well as followers of the party and the people of Ekiti State in general.
“I am ready to sacrifice my ambition to represent Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 2 at the national assembly for the candidature of Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji and the APC”, Dele Philips stated.
He added that numerous Interventionist programmes have been put in place to complement the efforts of Dr. Kayode Fayemi administration in affecting the lives of the people positively.
This, the Ekiti Reps aspirant said include empowerment of 99 women in the 33 wards in Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 2 comprising Ekiti West, Efon and Ijero local government areas.
He expressed confidence in Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji to continue the good works of the Kayode Fayemi administration.
Also speaking, former Chairman of the party in Ekiti State, Jide Awe said the APC has always justified the confidence reposed in it with the various infrastructural facilities executed as well as human capacity development being carried out in the state.
Similarly, an APC Chieftain, Abayomi Akogun popularly known as Lustay commended the sportsmanship spirit of Mr. Dele Philips who has always prioritized the place of the APC and his people.
Akogun charged members of the APC to remain steadfast and sustain the mobilisation process being carried out in the state.
The event did not end without the declaration of members of opposition parties for the APC, especially the APC.
