
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Mr. Dele Philips has commended the peaceful conduct of the governoship election held on Saturday.
Mr. Dele Philips who is also the Chairman of BAO Campaign Committee in Ekiti West local government area spoke with newsmen shortly after casting his vote at unit 4, Ward 12 in Aramoko-Ekiti.
Philips expressed joy at the level of improvement being recorded in the democratic process in the country, saying advancement in technology has played significant roles.


“I am sure that we will continue to improve with I have seen today and the level of calmness has been a great encouragement. There may be possibilities of minor issues but INEC has gone far and we are hoping that more improvement would be recorded as we approach the 2023 general elections”, the international business mogul stated.
“I want to encourage our people to keep hope alive with the leadership of this country as successes would be recorded, considering all the Interventions being carried out across the State and the country in general”, the APC chieftain added.
He also called on politicians to embrace spirit of sportsmanship while carrying out political activities, saying the task of ensuring societal and human development should be seen as a collective one.
