The APC house of assembly candidate for Oye constituency 1 and former chairman of Oye L.G. Mr Tope Longe has congratulated Governor Oyebanji on the judicial pronouncement of the court affirming him as the validly elected Governor of Ekiti state.
In a statement released in his Oye Ekiti country home, the former Council boss commended the judiciary for standing by the truth by throwing out 100% all of the issues raised by Chief Segun Oni, as the court described them as generic, needless, vague, non-specific, nebulous and frivolous.
He said the judgement has once again proved that the judiciary is the last bastion of hope for the common man.
Longe said this should tell every discerning mind that any further litigation will amount to a waste of time .
The HOA candidate who described Chief Segun Oni as a gentleman urged him to accept the voice of the people as the voice of God, he also enjoined him to join hands with Ekiti people to move the state forward.
Longe said Ekiti people are homogenous and cannot afford to get distracted by bickering on trivial, frivolous and nebulous cases.
Longe who described Oyebanji as an embodiment of humility advised Mr Governor, Barr Paul Omotoso led exco and Ekiti people to be magnanimous in victory by extending a hand of fellowship to Oni and his supporters.
Longe said, at this juncture, the development of Ekiti should be paramount to all peace loving citizens of our state.
The APC HOA candidate said …now that the case has been thrown into the dustbin of history, he will advise Oni’s lawyers not to lure their client to the appellate court as it will amount to a journey in futility.
