The House of Representatives flag-bearer for the Ekiti Constituency II under the banner of the All Progress Congress, Hon. Biodun Omoleye has fecilitated with all Ekiti indigenes, home and abroad, for witnessing another new year.
Omoleye, in a new year message he personally signed and made available to journalists in Ado Ekiti, noted that it was a wonderful opportunity granted by God to live to see the dawn of the new year.
As the preparations for the February 25 elections rave up, the former aide to the immediate past Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, prayed for a peaceful conduct of the polls.
He said the elections would offer another opportunity for the people, particularly those in his constituency, to elect purpose-driven Representatives who would help them realise their goals in the new year and beyond.
“The 2023 election offers us a ray of hope as a people to actualize the goal of societal rebirth in all the strata of governance with the election of people with the fear of God, sense of purpose and the heart of mission in elective positions.”, He added.
Omoleye thanked the Kabiyesi, religious leaders and Ekiti-kete for their love and support for the incumbent Governor, His Excellency, Biodun Oyebanji, and prayed for peace in the land and better opportunities for the people in the new year.
He also thanked the entire stakeholders in the security sector of the State for their selfless efforts to reduce crime rate, particularly kidnapping in the state and urged promoters to desist, stressing that this year would be so hot for marauders in the state.
End.
