OLABIMTAN EXTOLS BISI AKANDE’S VIRTUES AT 84
The Chairman of SUBEB Ondo State and former Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Victor Olabimtan has felicitated the former Governor of Osun State and the former Interim National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Bisi Akande, for his exemplary leadership on the occasion of his 84th birthday.
In a press release he personally signed and made available to journalists in Akure on Monday, 16th of January, 2023 Olabimtan hailed the exemplary life and leadership style of the elder statesman, stressing that he is a living legend.
He said, the history of progressive politics and good governance in Nigeria would be grossly incomplete without the mentioning of the enigmatic Bisi Akande, “baba awon omo kekeke”.
The former speaker of the Ondo House of Assembly also acknowledged the struggle, sacrifice, perseverance, dedication and commitment of Chief Bisi Akande to the entrenchment of democratic rules from the early stage of his life till date.
He thanked God for sparing the life of Chief Akande to witness the continued evolvement of progressive government he toiled for.
The statement reads in parts, “I celebrate you today as always, and thank God for sparing your life to witness the manifestation of progressive government you toiled and laboured for”
“You are a living legend at 84 and an inspiration to many of us. You are a leading light of your generation and a pathfinder to my generation”
“While wishing you many more useful years in good health and great affluence, l pray for the covenant of God to make every new day better than the previous to manifest in your life continually.”
