
FOUR KIDNAPPERS ARRESTED AFTER COLLECTING #6.2M RANSOM IN ONDO
In response to a distress call from Eti Ose in Owo Local government Area in Ondo State on invasion and destruction by some economic saboteurs and continuous kidnapping of farmers, a combined team of crack squad from the command responded to the distress calls on March 8, 2024, between the hours of 6:30 am to 6:30 pm with support from vigilante in the area.
“Dairu Abdullahi was arrested at Eti-Ose River Forest after a gun duel with our operative. He is a male, 25 years old from Kogi state. He was identified as one of the kidnappers who collected a ransom of #6.2m
Uyobon Jim, male, 30 years of Unikonam LGA is into growing and farming of marijuana in the forest.”
He is also a suspected informant to the kidnappers.
On the 19th March 2024, 3 suspected kidnappers were arrested at Abusoro camp, Ipele forest Reserve, Owo LGA at about 1:20 pm when attempting to kidnap their victim (names withheld).
The suspects are; Isiaku Jubril (m), 37 years old, Nura Idris (m), 30 years old, and Mohammed Sulieman (m), 50 years old.
Exhibits recovered from them include 2 local guns, 3 cutlasses, 4 mobile phones, 1 NIN Card, 4 voter cards, 1 ATM card, 1 TVS motorcycle, several bullet pallets, and 1 NYSC uniform.
“After Our Investigation, the suspects will be prosecuted in court while the narcotic suspect will be handed over to NDLEA.”
