ADVERT AGENCY CALLS OUT OSSAA BOSS, AKINRODOYE OVER ALLEGED FRAUDULENT ACTIVITIES
“Despite this, Akinrodoye has been placing different political adverts which include that of Governor Aiyedatiwa and the PDP candidate, Agboola Ajayi on same my board he had denied me from using without any payment to me or my company.”
The authorities of COGAM Productions have called out the Chairman of Ondo State Signage and Advertisement Agency(OSAAA) Mr. Akin Akinrodoye over alleged fraudulent practices.
The Chief Executive of the outfit, Mr. Biodun Emmanuel who made the allegation while speaking with newsmen in Akure claimed that Mr. Akinrodoye abused the privileges of his office by using his investments to make money for himself after denying him of using same facility.
Mr. Emmanuel alleged that the OSAAA Chairman has been using his billboard located by Mobil Filling Station at Ilesa Motorpark in Akure without remitting anything to him or his company.
“I am compelled to make this petition against Akinwande Akinrodoye the Chairman of OSAAA who stopped me from using my billboard at Ilesa garage in Akure since 2019 over dubious and frivolous claims of debts owed OSAAA.”
“Since then, he has stopped me from displaying adverts on the board thereby denying me to earn revenues on my investments to feed my family and also denying Ondo State revenues as I paid #150,000 annually with records available.”
“To my amazement, in April 2024, Akinrodoye started using my board for personal gains by placing adverts of Governor Aiyedatiwa sponsored by Rt. Hon. Speaker Olamide Oladiji who referred me back to Akinrodoye after getting in touch with the law-abiding legislator.”
“A call to the Akinrodoye asking why my personal investment would be turned to tool of personal trade by him was greeted with curses and threats, daring me to go to court.”
“Despite this, Akinrodoye has been placing different political adverts which include that of Governor Aiyedatiwa and the PDP candidate, Agboola Ajayi on same my board he had denied me from using without any payment to me or my company.”
Mr. Emmanuel therefore urged Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and other relevant government authorities to intervene to retrieve his investments from Akinrodoye as his next move might affect those who align with the OSAAA Chairman, Akinrodoye either politically or professionally.
The COGAM boss is also demanding that all revenues raised using his property by Akinrodoye should be paid without any delay as the situation could get messier, noting that he has also alerted law enforcement agencies.
“I am also alerting the entire public that Chairman of OSSAA, Akinwande Akinrodoye should be held responsible if anything happens to me.”
“Apart from my plan to remove the adverts on my board, I am embarking on legal actions against both Akinrodoye and the agency and by extension the Ondo State government which engaged a man of questionable character in such a position of public trust.”
All efforts to get the response of the Chairman of Ondo State Signage and Advertisement Agency, Mr. Akinwande Akinrodoye proved abortive.
