REACTIONS, PRAISES AS UK-BASED ENGINEER MEBINONE ASOGBON RESCUES ACCIDENT VICTIMS
Reactions and praises are trailing the empathy shown to victims of road accidents by a United Kingdom-based Engineer, Mebinone Asogbon.
The Convener of Mebinone Support Group For Aiyedatiwa was in transit on Ikoya – Okitipupa road in the southern part of the state when he ran into the accident scene.
The philanthropist had to stop not only to attend to the victims but also ensured that they were taken to a nearby medical facility.
The accident victims on Okada had been abandoned by hit-and-run driver but Engineer Mebinone Asogbon conveyed them in his vehicle and ensured a detail was with them for proper update.
Passersby were surprised at the intervention of who could be described as a ‘good Samaritan’ which gave hope as they called on other well-meaning individuals to takena cue from Engineer Mebinone Asogbon.
Speaking with newsmen at the scene of the accident, Engineer Mebinone Asogbon said his sympathy and eventual involvement in taking the victims to hospital and ensuring that their family members were contacted is what is expected from any passionate human.
Asogbon called on other well-meaning and privileged Nigerians to always be their brother’s keepers.
He promised to keep in touch with the victims and their families and also monitor their well-being.
