
WORKERS’ DAY: DELE PHILIPS ACKNOWLEDGES EKITI WORKERS CONTRIBUTIONS TO SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
…Hails Governor Biodun Oyebanji for prioritising workers’ welfare, payment of outstanding gratuities
The Vice Chairman of Asiwaju Mandate Group in Ekiti State, Mr. Dele Philips has congratulated workers in the state on this year’s celebration of workers’ day.
In a statement by his Media Aide, Seun Adetola and made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti, Dele Philips described the state Labour as a united, dedicated and formidable workforce that has contributed significantly to the growth and development of the state through professionalism, and harmonious relationship with relevant stakeholders.
In his words, “I join the global community to appreciate roles of workers in ensuring effective service delivery through legitimate engagements that have fostered good working environment and industrial harmony leading to enhanced productivity”.
“It is evident that workers in Ekiti State have continued to justify the confidence reposed in them and that is why Governor Biodun Oyebanji keeps achieving in all sectors”.
The All Progressives Congress leader also used the opportunity to commend Governor Oyebanji for prioritising workers’ welfare while outstanding gratuities are being paid.
Dele Philips specifically highlighted prompt payment of salaries and recruitments of workers into the state civil service, training and retraining of staff and prompt promotions of workers across the cadres, saying all the giant steps will immeasurably boost efficiency and effectiveness in the civil service.
He implored workers at all levels to continue to give maximum support to the state and federal governments’ renewed hope initiatives that could catalyse national growth, creativity, security and economic development.
While wishing the workers a joyous moment on their day, Dele Philips expressed the hope for better and brighter days ahead.
