…As Registrar, Omololu Adegbenro receives Man-Of-The-Year Award
In recognition of its unwavering commitment to scholarship, professionalism, and community service, Elizade University has once again earned acclaim, with its Registrar, Mr. Omololu Adegbenro, honoured with the prestigious Man-of-the-Year Award by Impact Media.
The event held under the theme “The Best of Their Tribes”, was a celebration of leadership, excellence, and distinction across various sectors of society. Mr. Adegbenro, a veteran journalist and accomplished public relations expert, was recognised for his outstanding contributions to university administration, leadership, and nation-building.
In his acceptance speech, Mr. Adegbenro expressed profound appreciation to Elizade University for providing him with a platform to showcase his abilities, describing the institution as one driven by “Excellence and Discipline,” its core values.
He noted that the University’s vision is centred on producing globally competitive graduates equipped to meet the evolving challenges of the 21st century.
He further praised the visionary Founder of Elizade University, Chief Michael Ade.
Ojo, for his sacrificial commitment and patriotic investment in building a world-class university that is already bringing honour to the nation on the global stage.
Reflecting on his dual career in media and administration, Mr. Adegbenro remarked that journalism is a profession that transcends boundaries.
“There is no wall between journalism and other fields,” he said.
“The journalist is a generalissimo; cut out to perform excellently as an administrator or in any sphere; truly a jack of all trades and master of all.”
According to a statement signed by the Head of Media and Public Relations, Williams Olufunmi, the event also featured a thought-provoking lecture delivered by Pastor Kayode Oladipupo, who spoke on the topic “Faith, Governance and Community Development: A Pathway Forward.”
He emphasized the importance of synergy between religious and community leaders in setting progressive development agendas, while also calling for more inclusive communication of government policies beyond official channels.
In his remarks, the Editor-in-Chief of Impact Media noted that the Man-of-the-Year recognition forms part of the media’s social responsibility to spotlight individuals who exemplify excellence and integrity.
He stressed that such awards serve not only to honour deserving recipients but also to inspire others to emulate their values in building a dynamic, forward-looking society.
