ONE YEAR AFTER: AIYEDATIWA REMEMBERS FORMER SSG TAYO OLUWATUYI
“…He Discharged His Responsibilities With Exceptional Diligence, Civility And Steadfast Commitment….”
Today marks one year since the painful passing of my dear brother, friend, and dependable partner in governance, the late Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Temitayo Oluseye Oluwatuyi.
One year after, the sense of loss remains deep, but so too does our gratitude for a life that was meaningfully spent in service to Ondo State and its people. Hon. Oluwatuyi was a man of rare character, whose dedication, integrity, humility, and compassion defined his public life and personal relationships.
As Secretary to the State Government, he discharged his responsibilities with exceptional diligence, civility, and a steadfast commitment to inclusiveness and fairness. He was known for his warm, disarming smile, remarkable strength, and a steady optimism that reassured and motivated others even in difficult times. Above all, he believed firmly in the promise of Ondo State and devoted himself relentlessly to its development, with particular concern for the welfare of the most vulnerable in our society.
Though he left us too soon, his legacy endures. It lives on in the hearts of those he touched, in the ideals he upheld, and in the contributions he made to strengthening governance in our dear State. His life’s work remains a beacon, reminding us of the nobility of selfless service.
On this solemn anniversary, I once again extend my heartfelt condolences to his wife, children, the Oluwatuyi family and the Akure community. I pray that the cherished memories of his love, devotion, and laughter continue to give you comfort and strength.
As we remember him today, let us resolve that his sacrifices will not be in vain. Let us honour his memory by serving with integrity, compassion, and an unrelenting commitment to the development of Ondo State.
Rest on, dear brother. Though you are gone, you will forever remain in our hearts and in the history of our State. May your gentle soul continue to rest in perfect peace.
Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa,
Governor, Ondo State.
