ONDO IYALOJA-GENERAL BOLADE EKO-DAVIES GREETS WOMEN ON INT’L WOMEN’S DAY
The Iyaloja-General of Ondo State, Chief(Mrs) Bolade Eko-Davies has congratulated women in the state, especially the market women on the occasion of 2026 International Women’s Day Celebrations.
In a statement made public by the Akure business woman and made public, she urged women in the state to continue to play their part in the socio-economic and political development of the state.
Chief(Mrs) Eko-Davies said women play pivotal roles in shaping the society right from the upbringing of their children.
In her words, “I want to wish our market women and mothers in general a happy International Women’s Day just as I urge them to keep supporting the government of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa in his quest to add value to womenfolk in the state”.
“I am aware that Mr Governor has put in place an empowerment programme through the O’datiwa Women Cooperative Society which will not only improve their commercial activities but also underline their place as hardworking business women”.
Chief(Mrs) Eko-Davies said women should also show more interest in political activities, noting that the task of developing ondo state should be seen as a collective responsibility.
“With the emergence of special seat for women in the legislative arm of government and governance in general, our women in Ondo State should not be left behind”, Eko-Davies added.
