The Presiding Pastor of All Saints Christ Apostolic Church, CITEC Estate, Mbora District in Abuja, Pastor(Prof) Anthony Adegbulugbe has led a special prayer session for the nation and the citizens in general.
The prayer session created a platform for members of the congregation to speak in one voice and decree positively on Nigeria and her citizens.
In his sermon, Pastor Anthony Adegbulugbe highlighted the seven words of Jesus Christ on the cross as a message of forgiveness, salvation and hope.
He noted that Christ’s death represents redemption and reminded Christians on the need to build unity and live in love.
“We are praying at Easter that the current atrocities and insecurity being witnessed in Nigeria should stop and that God will heal our land. Part of the healing is the lesson we learnt from looking at the cross”.
“When we look at the cross, we don’t see death , pain and sacrifice but we also see forgiveness”, he said.
Adegbulugbe who is also the Chairman of the District Coordinating Council of Medaiyese Region emphasized sacrifice and total surrender as reflected on Christ’s final words.
The Cleric added the season is a reminder of God’s ultimate love for humanity.
