AKURE APC LEADER, TAYO ABISOLA DEBUNKS REPORT HE ENDORSED ASPIRANTS
“…I am committed to the enabling law of choosing our candidates through consensus or direct primary process…”
A leader of the All Progressives Congress in Akure South local government area, Revd Tayo Abisola has debunked a media report that he endorsed some aspirants ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The party leader also stated that he was never part of any stakeholders meeting as reported on the social media.
In his words, “I, Hon. Rev’d Oluwatayo Abisola (JP) wishes to inform our great Party All Progressive Congress (APC) and general members of the public that lam not a party to the purported endorsement of aspirants quoted in the recent publication of Roving Reporters dated 5th April, 2026”.
“I equally want to state categorically that l didn’t attend any stakeholders meeting where such endorsement was carried out, any claims suggesting otherwise are false and misleading”.
“All aspirants are our sons and daughters and l can’t descend so low to endorse some of them when the party primary is yet to take place let alone of signing any communique”.
“I am fully committed to the enabling law of electoral reform by choosing our candidates through consensus or direct primary process while every aspirant will be given a level playing ground by presenting themselves to the people”.
“Lastly, my loyalty to our indefatigable Governor Hon. Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and our great Party APC is 100% while l distance myself from the purported endorsement and demand my name be removed among the Elders/Leaders associated with it”.
E-Signed:
Hon. Rev’d Oluwatayo Abisola (JP)
