TWO-TIME ASPIRANT, OTHERS ALLEGE MANIPULATION OF APPOINTMENT CONSIDERATION
…Urge Governor Aiyedatiwa, Party Chairman, Hon. Babatunde Kolawole to Reject list From Igbotako Ward 1
All Progressives Congress leaders in Igbotako Ward 1 in Okitipupa local government area have frowned at what they tag manipulation of names submitted for appointment consideration.
The leaders who spoke through a former House of Assembly aspirant for Okitipupa Constituency 1, Hon. Akinyele Ademusire lamented that those supposed to be carried along were sidelined in the process despite their contributions to the growth and development of the party at the local government as well as the state level.
Hon. Ademusire who was speaking with newsmen in Akure the state capital condemned a situation where former House of Assembly members, Hon. Niyi Adebusoye, Hon. Bamido Omogbehin and former local government Vice Chairman, Hon. Beke and many others were not involved in the process of selecting those to be considered for appointments.
In his words, “we the genuine leaders and contributors to the growth and development of the party at the local government level urge Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and the State Chairman of the Party, Hon. Babatunde Kolawole to reject the list Which we believe is an aberration that should not stand in the interest of unity and justice in the party.”
“It is also surprising that those who are aware of our contributions, including ward Chairman could
not play any role to ensure that the major contributors to the party and the administration of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa were not carried along.”
“I have been loyal to the party as a financial member and a two-time aspirant. It is therefore a strange development that someone who has been that involved in the party should be treated in such a way”.
“That is why we are appealing to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and our amiable Chairman, Hon. Kolawole Babatunde to reject the list from Igbotako Ward 1 to ensure equity, justice and fairness.
