APC DISOWNS PRIMARY RESULTS STATEMENT, LABELS IT ‘FAKE NEWS’

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has disowned a purported public notice circulating online regarding the outcome of its recently conducted party primaries, declaring the document “Fake News.”
The party, through its verified official X (formerly Twitter) account, on Sunday shared an image of the alleged statement prominently stamped with the words “FAKE NEWS,” indicating that the notice did not emanate from the APC.
The purported statement, dated June 27, 2026, and purportedly signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, claimed that the APC had not released the official list of successful candidates from its primaries and urged the public to disregard any list already in circulation.
However, by branding the entire document as “Fake News,” the APC effectively disowned the statement, signalling that it was not an authentic communication from the party.
The development has generated fresh attention as party members and stakeholders await official communication on the outcome of the primaries.
The APC has advised members of the public to rely solely on information disseminated through its verified official communication channels.
