BOSUN OGUNDIPE ASSUMES OFFICE AS PERMANENT SECRETARY, FORESTRY/PRODUCE SUB-SECTOR
…Charges Staff On Efficient Service Delivery
The newly posted Permanent Secretary for the Forestry and Produce Sub-Sector, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Mr. Bosun Ogundipe, officially resumed duty on Monday, July 6, 2026.
Speaking at his maiden management meeting with departmental heads on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, Mr. Ogundipe urged all directors to work as a team, stressing that he does not believe in working in isolation.
The Permanent Secretary reaffirmed his commitment to drive the vision of the government through loyalty and cooperation with the Commissioner supervising the Ministry.
He said this is critical to ensuring the success of the policies and programmes of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
Mr. Ogundipe charged all directors to take responsibility and remain loyal to the system, noting that the state government deserves total loyalty.
He further stated that under his watch, no department would take credit in isolation for any achievement. Rather, “Any success recorded by any department, the glory is for all, and it belongs to the Ministry,” he said.
He commended the management for a job well done in revenue generation. According to available records, the Ministry is performing well in its core mandate of revenue generation, but he added that there is still room to double efforts.
He, therefore, urged directors to transfer their wealth of experience to newly employed staff.
The Permanent Secretary said younger officers must be engaged and exposed to the workings of the sector for optimal performance, and that senior and middle-level officers in the field should endeavour to integrate new staff into their teams.
All directors at the meeting assured the new Permanent Secretary of their unflinching support and pledged to work as a team to set good records and record successes during his tenure.
