AIYEDATIWA’S AIDE GBOLOGE ENGAGES IKALE LEADERS, ASSURES OF GOVERNOR’S SUPPORT
The Senior Special Assistant to the Ondo State Governor on Community Engagement (South), Hon. Olufunmi Alex Gbologe, has engaged stakeholders and residents across Ikale, including the Odofin of Iju-Oke Kingdom, as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots participation in governance.
During the engagement, Gbologe listened to the concerns, needs and development priorities of the people, particularly those requiring government intervention, and assured them of the continued commitment of the Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa-led administration to improving the wellbeing of residents at the grassroots.
He promised to convey the requests and concerns raised by the communities directly to the Governor, stressing that effective community engagement remained essential to ensuring that government policies and programmes adequately respond to the needs of the people.
The Odofin-in-Council commended Governor Aiyedatiwa for appointing Gbologe, describing the choice as “a round peg in a round hole.” The traditional council also lauded the administration for its interventions in road rehabilitation, the upgrade of the Okitipupa State Hospital, prompt payment of workers’ salaries and the settlement of outstanding gratuities owed retired civil servants.
Gbologe reaffirmed that the administration would continue to prioritise programmes and projects with direct impact on the people, particularly in the areas of youth empowerment, community development, healthcare, education and road infrastructure.
He added that Governor Aiyedatiwa remained committed to creating opportunities for employment and economic empowerment, while sustaining investments that would promote inclusive development and improve living conditions across Ondo State.
