TINUBUDATIWA UK GROUP VOWS TO RETURN HOME, MOBILISE VOTES FOR TINUBU
The United Kingdom (UK) branch of the TinubuDatiwa Support Group has pledged to mobilise resources and voters to secure a resounding victory for President Bola Tinubu in Ondo State in the 2027 general elections.
The group’s President, Mr Oluwatosin Balogun, made the pledge during a meeting with the Ondo State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mr Idowu Ajanaku in Central London on Saturday, October 17, 2026.
Balogun declared Ondo State a difficult terrain for opposition presidential candidates, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, to campaign, expressing confidence that the massive support for Tinubu in the state would frustrate their ambitions.
He attributed the group’s commitment to the President’s re-election to the developmental strides of the Tinubu administration in the Southwest, particularly the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and the Ilesa-Owo Expressway, as well as the infrastructural development initiatives of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa in Ondo State.
The group also pledged to return to Nigeria ahead of the 2027 general elections to participate in the voting process, in addition to deploying its resources towards voter mobilisation.
Responding, Ajanaku commended the group for its commitment to Tinubu’s re-election and for recognising Aiyedatiwa’s efforts in transforming Ondo State into an industrial hub.
He disclosed that the governor had begun taking strategic steps to secure massive votes for the President, including the appointment of four special assistants in each local government area to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and the inauguration of presidential campaign committees.
According to the commissioner, Aiyedatiwa is determined not only to retain Ondo State’s position as the state with the highest number of votes for Tinubu in the Southwest during the 2023 presidential election, but also to surpass the previous record in 2027.
Ajanaku said the UK branch’s determination to return home and mobilise support for the President demonstrated the strength of Tinubu’s political support base in Ondo State.
He added that the group’s commitment sent a strong signal to opposition presidential candidates that the state would be a challenging battleground for them in the forthcoming election.
The commissioner expressed confidence that Tinubu’s re-election would attract further development to Ondo State.
