OLABIMTAN GALVANISES SUPPORT FOR TINUBU, ALL APC CANDIDATES
…Says Ondo APC is poised for resounding victory in 2027
The Director-General of the Ondo State Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) and State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) in Ondo State, Rt. Hon. Victor Olabimtan, has reaffirmed his commitment to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid, expressing confidence in the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s preparations for the 2027 general elections.
Olabimtan, who spoke days after the inauguration of the Presidential Campaign Council in Akure, Ondo State, maintained that President Tinubu had taken significant steps towards addressing the country’s challenges and laying the foundation for sustainable development.
In a statement personally signed by him, Olabimtan called on APC leaders, members and supporters, as well as independent campaign groups across Ondo State, to rally behind all the party’s candidates, stressing the need for unity and a coordinated campaign under the mantra: “One Party, One Message, One Campaign Mobilisation.”
Reflecting on the country’s economic trajectory, Olabimtan said the ongoing electioneering campaign should be assessed against the progress made so far, prevailing realities and prospects for the future.
“The ongoing electioneering campaign should not be judged solely by where we are today. Rather, it should be assessed against three critical realities: where we were before now, where we are at present, and where we are heading.
“We all know that we are not yet where we ought to be, but we are equally conscious of the fact that we have moved considerably beyond where we used to be. All indices point to the prospect of a better tomorrow,” he stated.
Olabimtan highlighted economic management, infrastructure development, education and youth empowerment as areas in which the Tinubu-led administration had recorded significant milestones, adding that the government’s policies reflected its commitment to national development.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has laid a solid foundation for a better tomorrow for Nigerians, particularly our youths. The President has repeatedly stated that his second term will be a period of shared prosperity arising from the reforms.
“What is required of us now is to support and vote for him for a second term so that he can consolidate the gains already recorded and complete the good work he has started,” he said.
He also challenged opposition candidates to present credible and practicable alternatives to the policies and programmes of the Tinubu administration.
“None of those aspiring to challenge the President has presented convincing and workable templates demonstrating what they intend to do differently or better if given the opportunity. Instead, they continue to recycle familiar rhetoric without offering practical solutions.
“Nigerians are discerning. They recognise the milestones recorded by the Tinubu-led administration and understand the importance of continuity in consolidating ongoing reforms and development initiatives,” Olabimtan stated.
Speaking on the preparedness of the PCC, which was inaugurated on Saturday, October 17, 2026, Olabimtan declared that the council was committed to mobilising support for President Tinubu’s re-election and the success of all APC candidates contesting seats in the National Assembly and the Ondo State House of Assembly.
“The Ondo State PCC is leaving no stone unturned in its determination to secure a resounding victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term bid and all APC candidates in the state.
“Our mission goes beyond delivering Ondo State massively for President Tinubu. We are equally determined to ensure that all APC candidates, from the State House of Assembly to the National Assembly, emerge victorious with unprecedented margins.
“We are working towards this objective, and with the structures and strategies already in place, we are confident of a strong performance in 2027,” he said.
Olabimtan commended Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who also serves as chairman of the Ondo State PCC, for providing the leadership, structures and support necessary to strengthen the council’s operations.
“Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has put the necessary structures and support in place to enhance the effectiveness of the PCC in Ondo State. With what we have on the ground, we are confident of a convincing victory that will reflect the people’s appreciation of President Tinubu’s achievements and his commitment to building a better future for Nigerians, especially the younger generation,” he added.
The PCC Director-General further urged APC leaders, stakeholders and independent campaign groups across Ondo State to close ranks and work collectively towards the party’s electoral objectives.
“This is a clarion call on APC leaders and independent campaign groups in Ondo State to join hands with Mr Governor and the Ondo State PCC in the overall interest of our party.
“We stand to gain more when we work together. Disagreements are inevitable in politics, but past differences should not be allowed to undermine our collective progress. This is the time to work as a united team rather than at cross-purposes.
“Under the mantra of ‘One Party, One Message, One Campaign Mobilisation,’ we must put our differences aside, strengthen our structures and work towards a common goal,” Olabimtan said.
Recalling the 2023 presidential election, Olabimtan noted that Ondo State recorded a high level of support for President Tinubu, expressing confidence that the state would sustain and improve upon its position as one of the President’s strongest support bases in the country.
He urged the people of Ondo State to sustain their support for President Tinubu and the APC, arguing that continuity would provide an opportunity to consolidate ongoing reforms and development programmes in education, infrastructure, economic growth and youth empowerment.
Olabimtan reiterated the PCC’s commitment to working with party leaders, stakeholders and grassroots mobilisers across the state to pursue the shared objective of securing victory for President Tinubu and all APC candidates in the 2027 general election.
