
ACCIDENT: OSE COUNCIL BOSS CLEMENT OJO PAYS CONDOLENCE VISIT TO BEREAVED FAMILY IN UTE
…Promises educational support, employment to uplift family
In a heartfelt show of empathy and leadership, the Executive Chairman of Ose Local Government Area, Hon. Barr. Clement Kolapo Ojo, on Saturday, paid a condolence visit to the grieving family of the woman and her young child who tragically lost their lives in the recent accident along the Olujewu–Igbatoro road in Ute community.
The accident, which occurred due to a brake failure involving a grader deployed by the local government for road development has left the community in mourning and the affected family in deep sorrow.
The Chairman accompanied by senior government officials visited the family home to offer his sincere condolences, pray with them and express solidarity during this difficult time.
While addressing the bereaved family, Hon. Barr. Clement Kolapo Ojo extended his heartfelt sympathy, describing the loss as “irreparable and painful beyond words.”
He acknowledged the government’s responsibility in the incident and assured the family of the administration’s unwavering support.
In a compassionate and impactful gesture, the Chairman announced two immediate commitments by the Ose Local Government:
1. Full Educational Sponsorship: The Chairman pledged to enroll the children of the deceased woman in school and ensure their educational needs are fully catered for, giving them a hopeful future despite the family’s tragic loss.
2. Employment Support: Understanding the emotional and economic burden now resting on the family, Hon. Clement Kolapo Ojo also promised to offer employment to a qualified member of the family, thereby providing a sustainable means of livelihood to help stabilize and uplift the household.
“These are not just promises,” the Chairman stated.
“They are our duty as a government and as fellow humans. This family deserves our compassion, but more importantly, our action. And we will continue to stand by them.”
The condolence visit was marked by solemnity, prayers, and emotional expressions from members of the community who deeply appreciated the Chairman’s presence and the government’s readiness to take responsibility and support the affected family.
