He spoke while delivering his remarks at the commissioning of Kembod Event Centre in Akure on Tuesday.
He described the edifice as a catalyst for economic vitality, social engagement and increased global visibility, not only for the state but also for the region at large.
Represented by the Secretary to the Ondo State Government, Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti, he noted that the commissioning stands not just as the opening of a building, but as a symbol of collective ambition where public support and private initiative come together to shape a more prosperous future.Akure local news
While underscoring the growing importance of private sector investment in regional development, he emphasised unity, transparency and long-term vision as key drivers for success.
Aiyedatiwa, while commending the celebrant, Oluwakemisola Koku, and her husband, Otunba Adeyinka Koku, for their commitment to progress, described the gathering as a convergence of shared aspirations, particularly among diaspora communities returning with renewed hope and investment interest.
While unveiling the modern event facility, which has been designed to host large-scale gatherings with a capacity of approximately 1,200 guests, he highlighted that the success of the centre would depend not only on its infrastructure but also on integrity in management.

He stressed the importance of transparency, warning against financial mismanagement and urging operators to uphold honesty in all transactions.
According to the governor, businesses built on accountability tend to attract sustained growth and community trust, noting that the project is a strategic response to the rising demand for event venues in Akure, a city he described as experiencing rapid urban and economic expansion.
“With its high standards and modern facilities, the centre is set to attract visitors globally, including from the United Kingdom and the United States.
“Beyond its commercial appeal, the event centre is expected to create jobs for youths and boost economic activity.” he said
He reiterated his administration’s resolve to foster a conducive environment for investments in the state and pointed to ongoing efforts in infrastructure development, security and policy support as critical enablers for private enterprise.
