…conducted a facility tour of 30 MW Turbine Power Plant along Ore-Sagamu Expressway in Ore
In line with his commitment to completing all projects initiated by previous administrations in Ondo State, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa on Sunday, August 25th, 2024, conducted a facility tour of the 30 MW Turbine Power Plant located along the Ore-Sagamu Expressway in Ore. The power plant was established in 2012 by former Governor Dr. Olusegun Mimiko.
According to the Senior Special Assistant to Governor on Strategic Communication, Allen Sowore, Esq, during the inspection, Engr. Ayodele Ikumapayi, who accompanied the governor, stated that the power plant is solely owned by the state government. He explained that once completed, the plant will have the capacity to serve the entire Ore area and its surroundings, including the Industrial Park.
Governor Aiyedatiwa reaffirmed his commitment to bringing this significant project to fruition, emphasizing the substantial investment by previous administrations.
“What is required now is to allocate a little more resources and commit ourselves to ensuring that the project becomes operational. And I am sure God will see us through,” he said.
