
AIYEDATIWA TAKES ”SENSITIZE THE BOY-CHILD INITIATIVE” TO OYEMEKUN GRAMMAR SCHOOL, AKURE
…As Special Adviser on Women Affairs Dr Osamaye assures programme will instill positive values, enhance emotional intelligence and foster attitudinal changes
The “Sensitize The Boy-child Initiative” programme embarked upon by the administration of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has been taken to Oyemekun Grammar School in Akure the state capital.
The programme being spearheaded and propelled by the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development has been held at St. Joseph’s College in Ondo City and other schools.
This time, it was the turn of Oyemekun Grammar School in Akure where hundreds of students and educators were gathered to emphasize the position of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and his team that the Boys also need guidance as they forge ahead in life.
Addressing the gathering, the Special Adviser to Governor Aiyedatiwa on Women Affairs, Dr. Seun Osamaye said though there have been various programmes out in place for the girl-child, there is the need to reach out to the boys in line with the policy of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to run an inclusive government.
Dr. Osamaye who said the programme would be a continuous exercise assured that structures and processes are being put in place to ensure that the nooks and crannies are reached.
In her words, “the programme is to instill positive values, enhance emotional intelligence, foster attitudinal changes and equip boys with essential life skills needed to navigate societal pressures effectively”.
