Akure Anglican Diocese Presents Award Of Honour To Pastor (Mrs.) Olukemi Iyantan
The Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Diocese of Akure, Church of His Glory, Oda Road, Akure, on Sunday 23rd November 2025, honoured dignified Pastor (Mrs.) Olukemi Iyantan with an Award of Honour in recognition of her outstanding service and exemplary contributions to human development and the progress of the church and society at large.
Pastor (Mrs.) Olukemi Iyantan, who also serves as the Honourable Commissioner with the National Population Commission, was selected alongside a few other distinguished state dignitaries for her remarkable impact, selfless commitment, and dedication to community growth and social advancement.
In his brief charge, the Vicar, Rev. Canon M. S. Omoyeni, emphasised that “a good name is better than silver and gold,” encouraging the awardees to remain steadfast in their good character and continue to positively influence their immediate communities and beyond. He reminded them of God’s divine reward for faithful service, referencing Revelation 22:12–14 as a basis for hope and perseverance.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the Church Planning Committee Chairman, Prince Dayo Bello, who expressed deep appreciation to all dignitaries, members, and guests for their presence and unwavering support that contributed to the success of the ceremony.
