AKURE SOUTH COUNCIL BOSS, GBENGA FASUA MOURNS TEMITAYO OLUWATUYI
The Chairman of Akure South Local Government Transition Committee, Dr. Gbenga Fasua has lamented the passing of the Secretary to the state government, Tayo Oluwatuyi a.k.a Tuykana, describing it as painful.
In a statement, the Chairmanship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the forthcoming local government election said the news of the passing of the grassroots politician is a rude shock.
Fasua said, “with deep sadness, I learned of the demise of a community-oriented, humble, dogged and grassroots politician whose achievement as a man of the people can not be overemphasized”.
“The Late SSG was a mobilizer who did not waiver in the face of adversity. He was firm and solid in his beliefs and convictions, and it was almost impossible to sway him from them. He was very passionate about the downtrodden and vulnerable”.
Commiserating with the immediate family of the deceased and Akure community in general as well as the people of Ondo State over what he called irreparable loss, the council boss said the late SSG will be remembered for his extraordinary contribution to the growth of his Community”.
He urged his family and political associates to take solace in the fact that the Late Tukana lived a life of service, as the impact of all his work will be felt by generations to come.
“A thousand words won’t bring you back, I know because I’ve tried, neither will a thousand tears, I know because I’ve cried. You mean millions to me. Goodnight my leader”, Fasua added.
