ALAGBAKA EXTENSION RESIDENTS CALL OUT CONTRACTOR FOR ABANDONING ROAD PROJECT AFTER PAYMENT
Residents of Alagbaka extension phase 2, behind SIB Police headquarters, Akure have called out the contractors handling their road project for abandoning the site.
The residents who spoke through a community leader, Mr. Fred Ojo lamented that despite the instruction of the Governor that all contractors must return to site, the project handlers are still adamant.
They complained that with the raining season many residents now find it difficult to get to their various houses.
“Immobilaire, the contractor who has received payment for the road job has abandoned the job and refuses to return to site”.
“Residents are going through hell to get in and out of their houses. We’re scared of any light shower or it’s imminence”.
“Government has done it’s part by asking contractors to return to site in the circumstances and particularly after the demise of the last governor but this contractor has refused to return to site, leaving residents in severe and agonising pain”.
“Government should come to our aid by calling the contractor, Immobilaire to do the work he’s been paid to do”.
