Adebutu’s claims that LG funds were misappropriated lack any factual basis, as his understanding of governance processes is evidently flawed. Akinmade continued, “Ladi Adebutu’s accusations are part of a well-worn pattern of making baseless and unfounded claims to distract from his own failures. His desperate attempts to remain in the news, while ignoring his own legal troubles, only serve to show how far removed he is from the reality of governance. If Adebutu truly understands the processes of governance, he would not be engaging in such absurd and juvenile accusations. His claims hold no weight and are a reflection of his own frustration.”

The local government areas in Ogun State have their independent management processes, and at no point has the governor been involved in the mismanagement of any funds.
