ANXIETY IN EKITI AS RESIDENTS PROTEST ABDUCTION OF COMMUNITY MEMBERS

There has been anxiety in Orin-Ekiti in Ido-Osi local government area of Ekiti State following alleged kidnapping of a resident of the town.

Residents of the town took to the streets on Wednesday to protest what they called Fulani invasion of their territory.

A middle-aged man, Aina Vincent who shared his experience said he was at his farm to offload some seedlings when he saw a group of armed seven men who demanded the whereabouts of the expatriates working on a farm near his location.

According to him, it took God’s intervention for him not to be killed.

Another member of the community, Jide Olaifa said the situation is strange to them, expressing concerns about the implication of the rate of insecurity in the country.
