APC EXTENDS TENURE OF WARD, LG, STATE EXECUTIVES TILL DECEMBER
The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has approved the extension of the tenure for all Ward, Local Government, and State Executive Committees across the country.
The decision was reached during the party’s 14th NEC meeting held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, in Abuja.
The meeting which was presided over by President Bola Tinubu, had in attendance Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, House of Representatives Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, state governors, National Assembly leaders, and other top-ranking members.
The tenure extension is aimed at maintaining stability within the party structure ahead of major political activities.
With this resolution, all current executive committees at the ward, local government, and state levels will continue to serve without disruption until the end of 2025.
