APC SWEEPS ONDO LG POLLS
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has swept all chairmanship positions in 16 of the 18 local government areas declared so far in Ondo State’s local government elections.
The party also triumphed in 180 out of 203 councillorship seats across the state.
The Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission (ODIEC), led by Dr. Joseph Aremo, confirmed the results, commending the electoral officers for a smooth and credible process.
Areas declared include Akure South, Okitipupa, Akoko South-West, Odigbo, and Ese Odo, among others.
Meanwhile, the election in Ondo West Local Government was rescheduled for today, following the omission of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) logo on the ballot paper.
Voting, which commenced at 11 a.m is expected to conclude by 4 .00pm with final results to be announced approximately.
