APPOINTMENT: NCSU GENERAL SECRETARY, GBENGA OLOWOYO HONOURED BY OSUA-EKSU ENGLISH CLASS ’97
The State Chairman of OSUA- EKSU English class ’97, Ekiti State chapter , Pastor Busuyi Oguntuase, has congratulated Comrade Olowoyo Gbenga who was recently appointed as substantive General Secretary of the Nigeria Civil Service Union.
The message of congratulations was conveyed during an honour done the appointee when the Alumni class appreciated God for his appointment, at a special honour organised by the class, to celebrate Comrade Olowoyo Gbenga , held at the NCSU lounge, members club House, Egbewa, off NTA road, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State.
According to the Alumni class Chairman, Comrade Pastor Busuyi Oguntuase, he said that “we have watched your activities as a Trade Union Leader over the years, your contribution to national discourse, advocacy for egalitarian society and agitations for workers liberation; we are pleasantly convinced that you are a round peg in a round hole”.
“Our decision to honour you is to acknowledge the above stated facts, please, continue to keep the flag flying”

We have read various commentaries from individuals, group of individuals, corporate bodies, traditional ruler of your community, Labour veterans and Trade Union colleagues, we are more than convinced that you have paid your dues and you are a good ambassador of our set”
Please, continue to keep the tempo of your sincere hearts towards workers welfare, we are happy that the Nigeria Civil service Union have you as its General Secretary, he submitted
The words of exhortations were given by professor Lara Owoeye from EKSU, Pastor Bunmi Johnson PRO BOESTU, ikere Ekiti and Dr B.B. Ajayi an Executive Secretary in the Public Service of Ekiti State, who prayed for God’s blessing, guidance and wisdom to assist Comrade in his new task of leadership.
Other dignatories at the programme include, Barrister Alaba Awolope, Comrade Sunday Akomolafe, Mrs Olowoyo Temitope, the State Chairman , NCSU Ekiti State Council Comrade Aribisala Ayodeji, the State Secretary, Ekiti State Council , Comrade Oluwaseun Adediran, Mr Tobiloba Olowoyo, Barrister Miss Boluwatife Olapade Ademola Adeniji among others.
Earlier the Awardee; Comrade Olowoyo Gbenga, appreciated the honour done to him and dedicated the honour to God almighty, the National leadership , the different organs of the Union and entire staff of the Union for their abiding faith in God and his capability.
He promised to continue to serve within the precincts of the mission, vision and loyalty to the union as an institution, Leadership of the Union and entire members across the country.
You will recall that Comrade Olowoyo Gbenga was unanimously appointed as substantive General Secretary of the Nigeria Civil Service Union during the 81st National Executive Council (NEC )meeting, held at the conference hall of the Green minds Hotel on the 3rd July ,2025, at Utako, Abuja, Federal Capital Territory.
