AREWA YOUTHS HONOUR YOUTH MINISTER AYO OLAWANDE WITH SARKIN AIKIN AREWA TITLE
The Honourable Minister of State for Youth Development, Ayo Olawande has been honoured with the title of Sarkin Aikin Arewa (the King who supports the development of the North) at the second Arewa Annual Carnival.
The event was organised by the Arewa Youth and Women for Change.
The honour done the Akure-born Minister
was held at the Yankari Game Reserve, Bauchi State where top government functionaries from within and outside the state were in attendance.
The honour is not unconnected to the various programmes being promoted by the Minister and his ministry for create a new orientation for Nigerian youths and ensure that their future is guaranteed in line with the renewed hope agenda of the Tinubu led administration.
In his response, the Minister described the honour as a challenge to do more, assuring that his ministry and his team are determined to ensure that Nigerian youths feel the impact of the Tinubu-led administration.
“This recognition, like any others I have received, is a challenge for me to further rededicate myself to the task of serving the people and supporting the desire of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to build a better and prosperous Nigeria.”
“My sincere appreciation goes to the Governor of Bauchi State; His Excellency (Senator) Bala Mohammed, his Deputy; Mallam Mohammed Auwal Jatauas, as well as the General Manager of Yankari Game Reserve; Dr. Mohammed Nasir Yusuf for their warm reception.”
“I want to use this opportunity to again reinterate my appreciation to Northern youth for believing in the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
Olawande used the opportunity to assure the people that though the country may be passing through some challenges, there are hopes that all the structures being put in place by federal government would result in economic prosperity that would also benefit all and sundry.
“Despite the temporary challenges we are passing through as a country, your belief in this government is encouraging. When we declared open the student loan programme, almost 70 percent of those who immediately signed up to benefit are from the North.”
“There is no other proof that the northern youths believe in the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
“The Federal Government under President Tinubu would continue to ensure that the programmes and interventions of the government benefit all and sundry. I, therefore, used the occasion to again appeal for the continued support of Nigerian youth for the Tinubu administration”, Olawande added.
