
ARIYOMO FELICITATES SEGUN OJO, ADERONKE ADEJUYIGBE AND OLU ADEROUNMU ON ELEVATION, RECOGNITION
Former member of the Federal Government’s Ministerial Taskforce on Power, Engr. Olatunji Ariyomo, FNSE, has hailed three indigenes of Akure for their recent elevation and recognition.
Speaking with newsmen in Abuja, the distinguished engineer expressed happiness that their commitment and diligence are gaining more recognition.
The former Special Adviser to the Government of Ondo State on Information Technology described the development as “Triple Worthy Recognitions for Akure-speaking communities”.
Engr. Ariyomo congratulated Prof. Segun Ojo on his appointment as the pioneer Chief Medical Director of FUTHA (Federal University Teaching Hospital Akure).
The famous Engineer also felicitated Prof. Ronke Adejuyigbe as first female Vice Chancellor of University of Medical Sciences in Ondo (UNIMED).
Similarly, Ariyomo described the honour being bestowed on a community leader in Akure, Professor Olu Aderounmu by the Bamidele Olumilua University of Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti which named the university library after the distinguished scholar in recognition of his contributions to what the tertiary institution has become from College of Education to a University of Science and Technology.
In his words, “congratulations to Daddy Olu Aderounmu, Prof. Emeritus, on his unique recognition by the Bamidele Olumilua University for his pioneering role as Provost. The education seed he planted has become a sequoia!”
Engr. Ariyomo stated that the recognition and elevations are not only for Akure but Ondo State in general.
He expressed confidence in the ability of the pioneer CMD of Federal University Teaching Hospital, Akure, Prof Segun Ojo who like Ariyomo is a product of the prestigious St. Thomas Aquinas College Akure and the first female Vice Chancellor of UNIMED, Prof Aderonke Adejuyigbe to justify the confidence reposed in them.
He expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu and the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, for both appointments which he said is a sign of their love and Interest for the people of Ondo State.
