One of the leading Tinubu Support Groups in Ondo State, Emilokan Strikers For Tinubu-Shettima 2023 has inaugurated the State Executives in preparation for the forthcoming Presidential Election.
The oath of office was administered on them in Akure, Capital of Ondo State.
Speaking with newsmen, the State Coordinator of the group, Barrister Felix Alonge said the major focus of the group is to ensure the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Alhaji Shettima win in all the 18 Local Government Areas of the state.
Alonge who is also the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Social Investment Programmes reiterated the commitment and determination of the group in sensitising and mobilisation the general public across the state, adding that the gospel of Tinubu-Shettima Presidency must be heard in every nook and cranny of the Sunshine State.
He noted that “Emilokan Strikers” For Tinubu-Shettima is one of the various Support Groups under the leadership of Ambassador Olusola Iji who had charged every serious group in the state to be committed to BAT Project 2023.
The Coordinator further stated that, the group is not new in goals scoring, having done same during the governorship election in Ondo State where Akeredolu won in all the four local government areas in Akoko axis of Ondo North Senatorial District.
” Our group has done it before under the platform of Akoko Aketi Strikers where we won all the 4 local governments for Governor Akeredolu. We are the originators of Aketi is a goal, a slogan that later became brand for many support groups in the state”.
” Our objective is to make sure we win with large margin that can’t be contested anywhere; what stands us out among other groups in the state is our winning strategies; we are going to score 80 percent of the votes coming from Ondo State”, the coordinator said.
Alonge added that, the activities of the group won’t be limited to the State , saying their target is to win in all the 36 states of the federation, including the FCT.
In his welcome address, the Director General, Chief Balogun-Arogunjo Adewumi said the group is supporting Asiwaju Tinubu and his running mate, Shettima not because of his ethnic background but to fast-track the enthronement of good governance in Nigeria.
He charged the inaugurated State Executives and members of the group to work together towards achieving victory for All Progressive Congress and its candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
He also clarified that the group has been registered as others with Asiwaju Tinubu Shettima Coalition For Good Governance under Ambassador Olusola Iji, the Director General and Hon Kazeem Olarenwaju, the State Coordinator.
While congratulating the newly appointed State Executives and Zonal Coordinators, he pleaded with them to see the struggle as a call to service and ensure a president with human face, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is elected in 2023 presidential election.
He implored the Local Government Coordinators to replicate the same exercise in their various domains.
In the same vein, the Coordinator of the Non Indigene from the Southern Senatorial District, Hon Nwamara Eucharia said as a progressive Nigerian, the only solution to the present challenges bedeviling the nation is Alhaji Bola Tinubu.
” Peter Obi is our son and we don’t have anything against him but out of the numerous candidates in the race, Tinubu has better credentials that can transform Nigeria”.
She added that, with the track record of Tinubu while serving as Lagos State Governor, Nigeria is about to experience a total transformation in Health, Education, Security, Agriculture among others.
Some of the inaugurated Excos are Barrister Felix Alonge (State Coordinator), Hon Oladeji Ebisemiju (State Secretary), Mr Daramola Jacob Olufemi (State Director of Finance), Chief (Mrs) Sarat Adelakun (State Director Women Affairs), Mr Omoyofunmi Segun Henry (State Director Youth Affairs), Barrister Bada (State Legal Adviser), Dr Omoniyi (North Senatorial Coordinator), Dr Omololu (South Senatorial Coordinator), Mr Oredola Ibitayo Emmanuel (State Ex-Officio North), Hon Akinmejiwa (State Ex-Officio Central), Mr Usman Yakubu (State North Senatorial Coordinator For Non-Indigene), Hon Nwamara Eucharia ( State South Coordinator For Non-Indigene), Comrade Emmanuel Ihuoma (State South Coordinator For NURTW) among others.
The Local Governments Coordinators were also inaugurated.
